Managing livestreams

The Livestream section of Flowplayer OVP allows you to create new livestreams as well as change the metadata and schedule of existing or past broadcasts. You can also access the livestream analytics.

The available options depend on the stream type.

• Simulated live broadcast
• 24/7 broadcast
• scheduled event

Managing livestreams with the Platform API

Existing livestreams can also be listed, changed and deleted with the Platform API:

• GET /v3/livestreams lists livestreams. Use q to search, and filters such as start_time, stop_time, categories, live_source and remote.
• GET /v3/livestreams/{id} returns a single livestream.
• PUT /v3/livestreams/{id} updates a livestream, for example its name, description, tags, category_id, start_time and stop_time. The scheduling_type can't be changed after creation.
• DELETE /v3/livestreams/{id} deletes a livestream.
