Playlists overview

Playlists in Flowplayer OVP allow you to group videos into a list that plays in sequence in the player. You can create manual playlists where you add and arrange the videos exactly as you want them or dynamic playlists where the videos in the list and their order is updated automatically and continuously based on a set of rules that you specify.

View playlists

Click on Playlists in the menu to open the playlists view. You will see a list of your playlists, here you can search for a playlist by name as well as select which type of playlist (Manual or Dynamic) you want to list.

Select a playlist to view its details. In this view you can also edit or remove the playlist.

Managing playlists with the Platform API

Playlists can also be managed with the Platform API:

  • GET /v3/playlists lists playlists. Use q to search by name and description.
  • POST /v3/playlists creates a playlist with type set to MANUAL or AUTOMATIC (dynamic). See manual playlists and dynamic playlists.
  • GET, PUT and DELETE /v3/playlists/{id} return, update and delete a playlist.
