Basic Playback Token Authentication
The basic token authentification uses an OVP platform generated access token which is valid for 48 hours, is and automatically integarted into the platform embed codes and Flowplayer.
This setting makes it hard for a viewer to extract the video URL and store it for usage in unintended applications or pircay sites over time since the embed URL, which has the token as part of the URL, will only be playable for 48 hours. The token auto renews and is updated in the embedded player in the background.
Configuration
Configuration is simple: just access the Metadata tab of any video or livestream and select Basic token . If you set a default token behavior in your workspace settings, you can also select follow default for existing videos or livestreams. Videos or livestreams cerated after you set the default will follow the setting unless you choose a different option.
