Basic Playback Token Authentication
Basic playback token authentication in Flowplayer OVP uses a platform-generated access token which is valid for 48 hours, and is automatically integrated into the platform embed codes and Flowplayer.
Basic token authentication makes it hard for a viewer to extract the video URL and store it for usage in unintended applications or piracy sites over time since the embed URL, which has the token as part of the URL, will only be playable for 48 hours. The token auto renews and is updated in the embedded player in the background.

Configuration
Configuration is simple: just access the Metadata tab of any video or livestream and select Basic token. If you set a default token behavior in your workspace settings, you can also select follow default for existing videos or livestreams. Videos or livestreams created after you set the default will follow the setting unless you choose a different option.

Configuring basic tokens with the Platform API
The token behaviour of a video or livestream can also be set with the Platform API using the playback_token_behaviour field when creating or updating it (POST/PUT /v3/videos and /v3/livestreams):
BASIC_TOKEN: use basic token authentication.FOLLOW_DEFAULT: follow the default set in the workspace settings.NO_TOKEN: no token authentication. (ADVANCED_TOKENis described in Advanced Playback Token Authentication.)
